Just My Size has been an old-school fallback for plussies from at least the late 80s. I still remember their hose commercials, just as well as I remember women moaning in defeat as their waistlines crept beyond that of a simple Queen size into the dreaded 1x, 2x, and 3x’s - more obscene to a woman struggling with her weight than a solid XXX in front of a theater.
Just My Size and its market have both gone through some growth phases since then. JMS, now offers clothing sizes from 14 - 40 and bra sizes from 38A to 58J. If nothing else fits, Just My Size will provide. Whether or not the fit is fashionable, however, can vary a great deal, as this plus clothier is only just now discovering its fashion footing.
I am particularly interested in their Leading Lady bra line, because of its designs directed towards women’s activities. Not only does it offer some decent nursing bras and tanks, they also include workout bras - a real find for those of us who are plus size and who engage in active lifestyles.
JMS still does what it did best from the beginning: provide plus size hosiery. While I still consider stockings a cultural blight, not only because they’re made from petroleum but because few last beyond the first wearing, as far as something inevitably delicate goes, what JMS provides is reasonably durable. With extended sizes up to 7x, their hose choices are adequate, despite hose being the single most unreasonably priced item in all of women’s fashion.
