While a lot of us plussies suffer from serious pool-shyness, on a hot and miserable summer day there’s a certain point where you don’t care what you bare, you just need to cool off. Fortunately, there are a great number of swimsuit designers who know that, and give you ample room to get yourself out on the water.

The formula for the perfect swimsuit, as far as I can tell, is to determine your biggest figure flaw and pick a suit designed to flatter or disguise it. Now, there’s a certain point where a large lady is a large lady, but that’s no reason not to rock your curves anyway. Besides, a little extra time in the water is the perfect weight-bearing workout, and if you want to make a few of your curves muscle-based, few exercises can beat water aerobics – and for that, you’ll need a suit. If you can, check your community ed and Y listings – it’s perfect for people with joint issues or who feel inhibited in their movement.

So off we go to find you suits, based on style varieties, size diversity, respect for you, and just plain old cuteness. If you would lie some additional tips, Love to Know has a reasonable overview on swimsuit styles available.
