Junonia is a sturdy supplier of plus size anything, with a leaning towards sports items. While perhaps not the place for the fashion forward, for a plussie in need of items that can survive regular workouts. Among tankinis that are not, perhaps, an ideal cut, was this entertaining gem:
The sarong wrap gives a good line, [...]

I don’t know how long Jessica London has been around; the name has some hovering familiarity, so I can only assume awhile. Their swimsuit line has a solid section of one piece, two pieces, and skirtinis. Pricing runs around $70 a suit, and sizes go up to 26W. Along with corset and shirred designs, there [...]

JC Penney has swimsuit sizes up to 26W, with a reasonable variety of choices. While nothing groundbreaking, the pricing is mid-range, the designs are solid, and Penney’s is known for reasonable return policies if not necessarily for their in-store service.

I’ve seen things that are pretty awful, as you may know from the previous lingerie series. I’ve seen things that are just sublime. Interestingly, while I’ve witnessed many things in the researches I do for Fat Chic, this is the first time I’ve encountered something just weird:

“I have always [...]

Chic. Preppy. Fine for the country club.
I could expect no less from anything with the Liz Claiborne name on it, and even the swimwear in the 16-24 size range suits the standard. Everything offered has a classic design with a twist to it: a maillot has ruffles, or paisley. Modesty-preserving briefs replace bikini bottoms. Ribbing [...]

For the entreupreneurial among you, Broken TeePee Designs of the Etsy Listing shares how she got into her business:
“I have been making jewelry for the last year and a half. I came to it rather ate in life after some rather serious health problems. I have very poor ision and now need three pairs of [...]

I want to resist Eddie Bauer. I want to resist that this designer is actually acknowledging larger women’s sizes. I want to resist the sheer status he seems to hold. I came in wanting to hate… and while I can’t say I love, hate isn’t in the schedule, either.
With swimwear sizes up to 26, Bauer [...]

Catherine’s, oh, Catherine’s - the land of almost fashion. Plus size swimsuits can be found here, and things to cover them up completely are marketed just as aggressively. Had I not filtered their listings, I would have assumed a ratio of coverups to swimsuits 3:1. Realistically, the ration is more like 1:2, but the strategic [...]
