I bought the cute polka dot (with vintage inspired draping) tankini. The top is really cute, but barely comes over my navel! And the barely-fitting bottoms (I know I have a big booty, but its not THAT big!), won't stay up over my tummy. It's pretty cute, and I've had lotssssss of stares from the locals at the beach!

Thanks for the tip. I've been often quite frustrated at how small Target sizes tend to run (thus the whole desperate part). I have been able to get a few tops and tees, but for serious wardrobe planning, I'm not likely to choose Target as my base.

I tried on some of the suits at Target, and not only are they very short, they are very skimpy. After not being able to even squish into one of their size 20 suits, I left and bought a suit from Lane Bryant in the same size and it fit perfectly.
