Asthma Link to Obesity

Researchers in the UK have found a protein that links asthma with obesity. While people of normal weight also can suffer asthma, they are outnumbered by the medically defined obese as 1.5 to 1. There has been a great deal of research on the link between both conditions, but to date there is nothing definitive about obesity in any way triggering asthma. This may have something to do with obesity and asthma both being chronic inflammatory conditions.

… now, at the risk of Dairy Council and pharmaceutical assasins dropping out of the ceiling and kidnapping me, I have a theory to propose:

rGBH (bovine growth hormone) has been definitively linked to the development of asthma in children and young adults. These growth hormones encourage milk production, and as a biproduct can make the animal larger. So, is rGBH infested milk, cheese, and yogurt making the country’s children asthmatic and fat?
