Three Picks for Fall
After much reflection (web surfing) and research (looking at pictures and wishing for a fantasy fashion budget) I’ve carefully narrowed down the three items to have for fall. Fashion hasn’t changed significantly between this year and last year – with some careful tending and care, you can manage just fine with a few select pieces.
First, is the handbag – this should be sufficient to get through the winter, and look good for that weekend with the significant other’s family AND for that cheap flight that wind up hopping to the Bahamas by way of escape. Typically, I go first to the Etsy handbags listing, but nothing is really fitting the look that I want. I’m over the whole courier bag thing, but I also know I’ve got a lot of travel coming in my future, so I need something that I can schlep straight from airport to restaurant/hangout without it being obvious I’m just passing through. I’m over the whole courier bag thing; I need something with a bit more style and a bit less stink of hipster. Since my handmade source of choice has failed me, on I go to Zappos, Shoes, and Bluefly. This is of course, the bag of my dreams at the moment:
However, this will much more likely be the bag of my reality:
Also, from my researches: note to bag designers: please, please quit adding tassels. You’re ruining otherwise beautiful bags with ugly dangly bits.
The next piece of choice is shoes – while I do have some quiet plans for a nice pair of flat chocolate boots, I’m leaning towards a fashion-reasons only addition of Granny boots. They’re slightly elevated, they’re cute, and they’re good for clubbing – assuming I find a well-designed pair.
Silhouettes is in the top of the running.

The piece of all pieces for fall is the blazer; if it’s the only thing I can buy, it’s what I will buy (I may even get friendly with my sewing machine). Most women will have at least one in their wardrobe for work – this season it’s OK to layer it over jeans and that favorite going-out dress.
Zaftique has a fantabulous selection of interesting blazers and jackets, some of which are really unique.

Just found your site the other day, I absolutely love it! Keep up the awesome posts.
