SWAK Designs for Fall 2007
SWAK is a newish plus designer on the scene, that at this point I feel safe describing as “consistently awesome.” Everything is fashion forward, tailored for a variety of plus bodies. The end result of this is a sizing system that varies from garment to garment; so 6x can mean anywhere from a waist in the low 40s to the 60 inch mark. While it seems like it’s from Pluto, especially for odd body shapes like mine, it’s actually a series of designs that you can work with and look really good.
This top is a favorite design I’ve seen in other plus stores, but I have to uphold the consistency of the design. It really outlines the shape, giving a silhouette rather than bulges.
I really love this dress – it’s a great layering piece that just begs for some frilly accessories.
