Shoe of the Future?
This is a proposed revision on the high heel from Marc Jacobs’ Fashion Week collection:

This looks to me like an attempt to capitalize on a manufacturing error. I don’t have enough data to know whether I’d willingly walk in a pair – would this damage my feet in any way? If I lost my balance, am I in *more* or *less* danger of breaking an ankle? I don’t agree with the “all good shoes should hurt” philosophy many a lazy shoe designer promotes. Has anyone seen these on the market yet, or given them a try?
For all I know they’re a miraculous improvement on the high heel and will end a century of women suffering as they tottered to and fro. So if anyone has any info on these, do tell.
