Dress Code Guide

I just found this nifty dress code guide for those who, like me, are from part of a culture utterly unprepared for formality yet sometimes thrust into it anyway.

While some of it seems hilariously dated - it recommends a cloak for full on formal events, though I think the advent of the well-designed trenchcoat has long since superceded such tradition (full length is preferable but hard to find this season). Still, it’s darn handy especially in face of a panicked “ye gods, what do I wear!?”

I just might use this for a masquerade ball I plan on attending. Of course, my outfit will be a full length spaghetti strap black dress with a sheer overlay, white opera gloves, a string of faux pearls… and most likely combat boots. Hey, a girl like me has to have her traditions.
