I admit that I’ve never been that impressed with sports bras. I sleep in them, from time to time, but I don’t think they really keep my breasts contained when I’m working out – in fact, since my workout is bellydancing when I’m not circuit training, containing them would counter what I’m trying to accomplish. Still, Dr. Joanna Scurr is onto something. Our breasts don’t just move with the direction of our bodies – give them a little energy, and they can and will move in multiple directions. And hurrah for her for proving that it’s not the size of the breast that can cause discomfort – women from AA to FFF have proven to share these issues.

Soon, perhaps, there will be a line of Dr. Scurr’s bra helpers nearly as ubiquitous as Dr. Scholl’s shoe inserts.
