Boots of the Future

bootspreview.jpg
I have to admit I’m a little weirded out by these boots of the near future I found over at FabSugar. Part of me wants to cringe. But the longstanding boot-wearer in me really likes ‘em, just as I’m equally enamored with the Hugo Boss Bootie, despite the likelihood of personal injury given its heel. I appreciate a good shoe, but unlike many women, I insist on wearing the correct size and with determination I’ve found perfectly fashionable shoes that do not injure me – I do not think later life is for wheel chairs, I think it’s for practicing my cougar pounce, thankyouverymuch.

One of the things I’m assessing is how my weight affects the shoes I wear: are they built for supporting someone of my size? The only time I’ve had a heel break, I was assured by the shoe repair man that it was a defect in manufacturing and really had nada to do with my body size (and those boots do have a wider heel). Still, I wonder – does anyone know where I might divine these answers?
