Coat Dress at Alight
Now this is something that really would go into my wardrobe. I did have a coat dress from DOTS this season, but I’ve worn it once, and it received a poor review from my closest fashion critic, my boyfriend. Generally he likes my fashion and style especially when it gets me in dresses and skirts, so I certainly took what he said into account, and in my head stripped the politeness from it – essentially, the way it was cut, I looked like Mary Poppins had gotten her beige umbrella upside down. Now, I love DOTS most days, but they can’t win them all, especially as they seem to suffer from mixed feelings about serving the plus market.
However, Alight’s all about the plussies, and this would be the perfect coat dress for me:
It’s just the right length and cut for me. There isn’t too much flare on the sides, and the neckline is exactly low enough. I’d wear this with a fedora and black high heels.
