Etsy admin has finally heard its constituency… ok, and met a LOT of its constituency. They have officially opened up a plus size section in the clothing category. So now it will be somewhat easier to find artisan-made, independently designed, plus size clothing - with  a reasonable chance of having a designer behind it who is actually plus sized themselves.

You can bet I’ll be spending some time poring over the plus options - as yu know, we do have a few advertisers from Etsy if you look to the right column on the main blog page.

As someone said in forums, adding plus size is a good concession. Not too bad for a startup run by skinny and young New Yorkers.
