Deva Lifewear is one of those conscientiously conscious businesses that makes me shake my head a little. Everything they do and create is aimed towards creating a sustainable business and planet, all within the framework of hippie style. While absolutely not the stuff of the rotating fashion world - fashion’s changing nature goes against their very core - their consistent, classic look extends even to their accessories, and does still allow for some creativity of appearance. Such as what you might choose to do with this belt:
While I for one have never dreamed of wearing a broomstick skirt with a belt (usually only straight skirts get belted) it is a slightly different take from the hip scarf more commonly worn. While I have to confess I often wonder if this is where cults bulk purchase their uniforms, it’s clothing that isn’t fashion and doesn’t try to be, so on many levels I must force myself to reserve fashionista/fatshionista judgment.

What a strange “shop” you chose! Are they paying you? I fit myself into the “hippie” category, but these clothes are really odd! “Cult uniforms”- hilarious! They must not be paying you.
I’m lovin’ your blog. Thanks.

I mark all “paid” posts “Sponsor Posting” and usually I only do them for smaller shops/the microbusinesses you see advertising on the right side. I can see where someone might think these might be paid, and I’ve thought about it, but the truth is, I also speak up when something marketed to plus sizes is really, really awful. So far the most part this blog is just an example of research and digging skills a good portion of Gen Y doesn’t have - and there are some things, like the above, that I dig up and show people no matter what I think about them.
