Kiyonna has not made a friend of me for one reason: it has the unmitigated gall to label people who are size 10 to 12 as “plus.” It ruins a good thing for me: Kiyonna’s designs for larger women are truly fabulous, but by labeling clothing that is 10-12 as “Ox” they are essentially telling women who are of medium sizing and slightly below the US average that they are fat. So this convinces me that they are part of the not-so-subterranean campaign to force women to hate their bodies.
So now I’m in a quandary: they’ve solved a few figure problems for the larger set, especially the pencil skirt conundrum. But if I link back, I’m just encouraging them. OK, what the hell. I still link to Lane Bryant Catalog, and those people sell mumus!
