2008 More Spring Pieces at Liz Claiborne

Looks like Liz Claiborne had a few more items up her sleeve for the spring of 2008. One thing I’m noticing in her latest plus items is the fit to the models: the clothing is way too big for the models. This may be based on the assumption – and observation – that a lot of us plus sized people wear our clothing baggier/bigger than we need to, because the extra roominess gives us the illusion that we are not as big as we think we are, even as it projects the illusion that we are much bigger than we actually are.

I’m not sure what to make of this trend, as this is the second place where I’ve seen the clothing literally hanging off the models. I suspect there are good intentions behind it, or at least, a realistic assessment about how people may present themselves.
