Jessica London’s new releases aren’t exactly groundbreaking, but there were a few items for those of you looking for a few pieces to fill out your summer wardrobe.

jessica-london-embellished-skirt.jpg I was taken with this embellished skirt first for the good print: it looks pretty without taking over. I’m also very fond of A-line cut skirts with slight pleating and a defined waistband; they’re great for those with bellies and butts such as myself. Also, they combine well with just about anything but a button-up shirt, although I can see circumstances where that could work, too.

jessica-london-ribbon-trim-dress.jpg This dress just jumped out at me as something really cool and unusual. Not everyone could wear this, and god help the person who invites two people with the personality to wear it to the same party. But I LOVE it – it’s figure flattering on pears shapes, it has strong visual interest, clean lines, and on the right person it will show them off rather than forcing the wearer to show off the dress.

jessica-london-strappy-leather-sandals.jpg The whole gladiator sandal is some kind of nod to Balenciaga I’m seeing all over the place. I actually kind of like gladiator sandals. I’m happy with it as long as I don’t see the rest of that infamous outfit that was all over fashion blogs last winter.
