I am agreeing with the others that a good jean and good heels look fantastic. Especially a gorgeous straight leg jean.

I hate hate hate hate flood pants. Capri's I can understand, but when people cannot find pants in their inseam, and all you can see is 2-3 inches of sock...Urgh.

I am more of a fan of the high-heels with jeans look, although times I've been gutsy enough to pull it off are few and far between. I guess I think that with a nice dark-wash jean, the heels class up the outfit enough to make you look a little more put together and not so slouchy and casual.

Short boxy jackets, I don't care how much stylists say these are great for pear shaped women, or plus size women in general, they are not flattering. They just hang off your chest and make you look larger than you really are, or pregnant! They don't follow the curves of your body and just make your upper body shapeless. Plus if you are short and curvy they are a most definite no no.

I would like to add to that list:

Tapered pants - Or any other shaped wear that would lead to the ice cream cone effect.
Thin strapped Tank tops - Ok my chest is as plus size as the rest of me and there is no classy way to wear my thick strapped bra under a thin trapped tank top.

(Although I do disagree with one item on your list, I am a mad fan for dark jeans and a black pointy toe heel.)

Crocs are evil and must be destroyed. Clogs should only be worn in the kitchen by professional chefs, and only ProBirkies. Danskos are fashion accessories likely to get a cook injured or killed.

Anything that screams "Hey, look! I'm fat!" must also be eschewed. Is it too much to ask designers to give plus-size women flattering clothes tailored to their features and assets rather than trying to get them into size 20 versions of what tanorexics wear?

By the converse, anything so tight it shows every ripple and roll is no better. Just like Baloo said, accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. Not quite as easy to do with a pear figure, granted.

Agreed on the branded t-shirts or anything else for that matter. If folks want to judge me, they can do so based on my character or my photography. I'm well past the "brand extension as penis extension" phase of manhood.

I have to say things that make me look bigger than I am and items that show off bits I would rather not reveal: I really don't like cop tops that show off the belly and low waisted jeans that also do the same.

Thank God! I'm not the only one in the world who hates capris. I'm not a violent person, but Crocs should all go up in flames by way of mass burning. All the cheap Croc rip-offs too.
