Don’t Take Our Dresses Away

I’m going to declare the time of no dresses as the darkest time in plus size fashion history. While some women are disinclined towards them, those of us that love them, love them because they love us – dresses can be cut to forgive, to reshape, to display, to comfort, in a way that no other garment pieces can. They are also the only garment that can be slipped on and voila’! You are no longer naked by legal standards, and you don’t have to add anything. In fact, dresses are so comfortable and convenient that one of the more eccentric straight boys at my high school would wear one once or twice a week, entirely because they were so comfortable.

Our time without dresses was horrible. Don’t ever do that to us again.

With that, I give you a dress from one of the best plus dress makers out there, Igigi.

  1. I second this emotion. I do not know what I would do without my dresses. As a plus size women who is on the short side at only 5′2 it is so hard to find pants that fit and flatter. My solution has been to ditch the pants in favor of stylish dresses. Even in the winter time dresses are still my wardrobe item of choice, I simply pair them with some tights and keep it moving. I to am very thankful that designers are realizing we plus size women need our flirty, chic, comfortable, stylish dresses like the rest of the masses!
