One more trip down Avenue for now…
Avenue isn’t always navigation friendly, but given the reputation its store employees have, I much prefer trying to navigate them online than I do in their store. I have not ONCE heard a positive comment about customer service at their retail clothings, although I have heard many, many horror stories about bad service and at least once of outright verbal abuse of a customer – for, get this – being fat! Given that their core market is plus sized, one would assume management would screen for that, but apparently not.
However, despite some difficulty getting from point a to point b on their website and an ecommerce setup that never allows me to link directly to a specific piece of clothing, I’ve had a very positive experience with customer service through their website and I’m quite pleased with the quality and longevity of Avenue.com clothing that I’ve ordered. They’re not always fashion forward – they’re exact fashion middle of the ground – but the clothing lasts, and that’s a good thing to have when finding clothes in your size takes extra effort.
I’m also completely fascinated with the silk dress above – but shhh! It’s hidden in their clearance section. The good news? You can now filter according to size!
