In the Paint at Coffin Color

Coffin Color has enough fans on here that I thought I’d pass along this message from Xiane, since they were temporarily closed earlier this summer to do some reformulation for customer safety:

Coffin Color is back, after a small vacation while Mad Scientist Xiane bid farewell to former partner Melissa… luckily, although I’ll miss my horror-babe pal, this has given me the chance to start working on new things for Coffin Color, including some ideas for new shades!

There’s been some tweaking and reformulation in the works for some of my “classic” Coffin Color shades. Due to the ever-changing FDA regulations on ingredients and the demand of customers for new colors and textures, I’m always tweaking things a little – but this time there are a few big shifts afoot, including replacing one of our lines in favor of a more updated and cutting-edge palette. Change is always good, but one thing I promise to all my faithful customers: I’ll always offer the brightest, strongest, craziest colors out there!

Mineral makeup is indeed a highly competitive field… I guess that there’s just a lot of jockeying for position as “best” mineral cosmetics company out there, since the market is starting to become a bit saturated. [I think I just made a makeup pun!] I think that as far as Coffin Color goes, I refuse to play into that mentality simply because I offer something a bit different in the market: eyeshadow for those who embrace an edgier style. There’s room for all of us out there, in my opinion, so I refuse to play into silly, competitive games. I think that my colors, and my fun-loving attitude speak for themselves – and I know that my customers agree!
