Dress You Up – Plus Size Dresses

Looking at the dresses I’ve assembled, you would almost think I was playing some bizarre east coast/west coast thing. Given that I’m midwestern and offended by the term “flyover” it’s unlikely – it just sort of worked out that way.

I found three dresses that all look like they’d be fun and adaptable, though admittedly this first one is definitely more suited to a warmer environment:

Pick A Posey Short Sleeve Surplice Dress

With tights and a belt I would likely adapt it for midwestern winter, or if you’re in a warm place, it’s probably fine as is!

Embroidered Georgette Dress

This would be more of an east coast dress, and it appealed to me immediately because it looks comfortable, it has some nice fitting at the bust, and I really like the flattering way the pattern is used here. It’s also one of those dresses meant for late summer/fall/winter adaption – you don’t mind less shape on a dress when you have to wear more underneath as a matter of survival.

And of course, I had to include this because I am the girl that must always have a little red dress instead of a little black dress. The whole Marilyn nod is a bonus.

And, because shoes to go with the dress are always a challenge, this appealed to my quixotic sense of humor:

Ros Hommerson® Oxford Shoe
