Avenue Diversions
Given how little fashion has changed this past season, I’ve been keeping my eye peeled for subtle differentiations, because it can give us a few clues to the future. While Avenue is absolutely about staying on the middle course, there are a few things that sneak in that always pique my interest.
Two examples are right here:
This shirt is about texturing. It’s almost like color blocking without the color. While I don’t really think it has any impact at all on the overall figure and silhouette, it adds an element of interest by making the blouse a working piece in and of itself.
This has a whole velvet look online that it may not have in real life. This tie-waist also seems to be what is overcoming the wrap top, in much the same way that the trapeze top is overtaking the babydoll top. If the belt is adjustable, it would be useful because it can be moved up or down the waist based on what works best on the wearer’s figure.
These aren’t predictions, but they are points of interest – I would definitely consider wearing these.
