Plus Size Jumpsuits: Coming Trend or Trend to Bounce?

I had a brief moment, a random craving, if you will, for a jumpsuit a few months ago. Then I remembered what the proportions of my body look like these days, and promptly recovered. That said – are we on our way to a throwback to the jumpsuit? On the one hand is the massive inconvenience when you want to go to the bathroom, on the other hand there is the extreme versatility of the suit – it takes little accessorizing and actually works quite well as semi-formalwear. It’s all in the shoes and jewelry.

On the other hand, it could be a negative throwback. Take a look at the jumpsuits in Fat Chic Clothing Search. What are you finding?

So, jumpsuits, would you be caught dead in one?

I for one will never do the jumpsuit. :)

I have a jumpsuit similar to the one above, except mine ties to the side. I’ve worn it to a play, a party and other nice events. I love it. It looks especially sheek with a bolero, or shrug, but with the shrug I safety pin the tie underneath or it’s too many things hanging off me. :-) I like the strapless look below the bolero or shrug.

I thought about this too the minute I saw theses coming down the runway. I am conflicted about this trend. I do not think this look will work well for the curvy or the straight! A tricky one to play and rock out with…
I hope that the makers of this trend for the curvy persuasion will pay particluar attention to the fabric and cut for it to remotely work!
    Keep it Curvy!
