Superb Swimsuits at Torrid
While Torrid’s trendy designs of the past few years hit and miss with me (but I usually somehow end up buying from them at least once a year) their swimsuit line gave me the feeling about Torrid I had when the store first opened: just…WOW. A little bit vintage, a little bit punk, these take the old school 1920s swimsuit look and make them perfect for plus size women.
I especially like the above two – it gives some options for modernity and modesty, and these suits look like you can actuallu swim in them.
This one’s vintage style is also a lot of fun, and a nice variation from the blue and white sailor look.
Torrid also seems to have, at long last, found the right place in fashion for the caftan – ONLY as a swimsuit coverup!
You can find other plus size swimsuits on Fat Chic clothing search.

I heartily recommend the Pool Cover-up in the Newport-News catalog. I have one in turquoise and I wear it like a dress on hot summer days. They sell it in a variety of colors.
