8 Accessories for your summer plus size wardrobe
There are a lot of random goodies out there to embellish a look – some more appropriate at some times than others. For the fun of it, I decided to pick out a few favorites floating around from chain and indie sellers. The above is an oversize rose ring from Torrid; I just like the bright pop it can give, especially if you’re wearing a monochrome outfit.
The hobo bag – it’s very summery and elegant here, although knowing me I’d get it smudged in a week.
The hairband – a summer necessity, especially since a headband that won’t give you a headache is a bit of a find. Not always a good choice for work, unfortunately, but great in more casual situations!
Steampunk is taking off, and this brooch fits right into that motif. Also, because steampunk is founded in Victorian concepts, this is a super-easy piece to sneak under the radar at a conservative workplace.
I’m liking wrist cuffs more than bracelets these days. They’re easier to adjust if you’ve got wider bone spacing, and they seem more interesting because you don’t see them as often.
Purely practical – if you spend time near water, you need a beach bag.
Have I mentioned I like purple?
I just threw this in because I like it and it’s shiny. I’m a one giant ring at a time kind of person, but I’m willing to experiment.
