Skirt experiments in plus size
As I mentioned in the pants post of a few days back, we’re in a time of fashion flux. That means that while consumer fashions hammer out what the 201o’s will mean in mainstream clothing, we’re going to see some interesting sallies as they fish for what people are willing to put down their increasingly hard-earned cash to buy.
I’m seeing some very interesting variations – everything from floor length to modest-minis. While most never peek further than above the knee, the design varieties are still fascinating to observe.
Whether it’s drama, shirring or fluting, every dress has a new detail of design drama added. Personally, I’m leaning towards the floor-length skirt (bohemian drama!) or the longer ruched skirt.

I just ordered an entire outfit (including shoes) based around that purple tulip skirt from torrid.com to spice up my work wardrobe. I have a nice collection of blouses but I’m really bored with my ‘uniform’ of blouse/bootcut pants/ankle boots every day of the work week. Thanks for the inspiration!
