I read somewhere years ago that the first thing a job interviewer notices about you is your watch. Honeslty, I think they really notice whether your nails are clean, but pretending to check out your watch is a great way of coveirng up that move. Still, should you wind up in a position where someone’s opinion of your watch might matter (and you’re not content to rely on your cell phone to know what time it is) a time piece does add a nice polish to a professional outfit. And while I am a cell phone user, I do spend some time looking at watches, as they imply something more gentile – and generally less disruptive to traffic.
