Bib necklaces – do they work on plus women?
I’m not quite sure where I stand on bib necklaces. I tend towards statement jewelry, but not necessarily loud statement jewelry. Given that I am slightly less ample up top than some, I realize I might not get the bookshelf effect other larger-busted women might, but it still feels uncomfortable to me.
While I’ve seen the look in Gossip Girl and W, I have yet to see this on real live women. I’m curious – do you wear this look? Care to share a picture of yourself wearing a bib necklace?

I’m a size 18 or so and I totally rock a bib necklace or two. I don’t go extreme where they cover every inch of my cleavage. But a nice bulkier necklace done well, where it looks daintier than it is, looks great!
I’ve worn the bib look but I think the key is proportion. Even though I’m large breasted its still important that the piece doesn’t overwhelm.
I have a beaded bib necklace that I wear a lot… it looks great and I get tons of compliments, I just don’t always like wearing something so tight on my neck!
I’m not sure how to add a photo of myself here, but I like all kinds of necklaces — chunky chokers, long and dangling pendants, and bigger bib-like necklaces. I think it has less to do with someone’s build than it does the neckline and overall silhouette of the wearer’s fashion.

I love the pics, OPN. Sounds like proportion is key – maybe it’s worth drawing up a scale chart!
I’m a minimalist myself but I think it rocks on other people.
i LOVE my statement necklaces–I have a gorgeous one from swarovski that I seriously rock with every tube dress I own!
