Barrie Pace (US)
Offers clothing up to sizes $24. Pieces frequently under $200
Beall’s of Florida (US)
Offers a line called “positively plus apparel.” Sizing goes up to 28/3x. Most items designed for retirees, but a few really cute trendier pieces as well.
Bloomingdale’s (US)
Offerings up to size 24, pricing that goes up to $600.
Carson Pirie Scott
Basically Herberger’s for other states. Not sure what the logic is.
Herberger’s (US)
Does not allow user to sort by size. Sizing up to 3x, much of it is for retirees and under $100 per piece, some trendier items.
JC Penney (US)
Plus size clothing for all ages; some stores actually offer two plus size sections for younger and older shoppers. Advertises clothing up to “34W” but offerings past 26 are extremely limited to the point of being unshoppable.
Kohl’s (US)
Discount department store with emphasis on brand. Emphasis on brand can make plus section difficult to navigate. Sizing up to 22/24 (which they call a 3x.)
Lord and Taylor
Lists up to 28, generally stops at 22.
Macy’s (US)
Sizing up to 24. A friend recently told me “Macy’s is carrying plus sizes!” In fact, they have been for years, but they only recently decided to make their bizarrely scattered plus size clothing sections one area that a person could find without a Sherpa and a mapl
Nordstrom’s (US)
Advertises up to 26-28 but stops at 22-24. Does offer a “shop by shape” section, and while expensive, also has the Nordstrom Off the Rack store if you’re patient enough for clearance.
Norm Thompson (US)
Plus sizes up to a 3x/26
Saks Fifth Avenue
Plus sizes up to 24, calls its plus section “Salon Z.” Carries same plus standard high-end brands as Nordstrom’s.
Sears (US)
Offers sizing up to 24-26; also parent company to Macy’s and K-Mart.
