This has to be one of the busiest weeks for plus size fashion since the Lizzie Miller breakthrough last year. It’s likely because of Full Figured Fashion week, but there’s a few other things a-stirring, not least of which is Elle MacPherson’s move to cast a size 10 on Britain’s Next Top Model. What makes this controversial? She’s doing it knowing she has to work with the subhuman Julien Macdonald. Why such a harsh condemnation of one man, who is entitled to his opinion? Think – really think – about the attitude towards other people that led to such an opinion.

Watch for changes at Fashion Bug, as they’ve just had a major staff change. Jay Levitt brought about the experiment in lowered pricing in 2008 and 2009; let’s see what economic decisions the new order makes.
