… or something like that. Honestly, empire waists are more about conquering the waist by moving the eye line to just below the bust. I tend to recommend them as bridesmaids dresses when the bridesmaids are of different body types, and also aware enough to actively object to pouffed sleeves, taffeta, and other mean-spirited bridal humiliations.
